New from Paper Mate is the Emerald ballpen; which is green from start to finish - the majority of its components are manufactured from a renewable vegetal material and at the end of its life most of its components can be composted in your own garden.
 
Your recipients can easily buy refills in stationers to further extend the shelf-life of this pen.
 
Once its biodegradable components are disassembled and placed in soil they naturally compose within a year!
